The Out of Darkness 24-hour rescue hotline is the bridge between outreach and temporary safe housing. The hotline is operated 365 days a year, 24 hours per day. Rescue hotline volunteers are women trained to meet the needs of victims with compassion and love. If the caller is a commercial sexual exploitation victim and requests help, a rescue team is immediately assembled to bring her to an Out of Darkness safe house.

Requirements: Women, 21 & up, Out of Darkness Application, Volunteer training

Hotline

Once a call comes to our hotline and a rescue is requested, a team of a man and women coordinates and goes to the location of the rescue to pick up and transport her to the safe house. We have protocols set in place that ensure, to the best of our ability, that all individuals remain safe and accountable at all times.

Maybe street outreach or working directly with the women Out of Darkness serves isn’t your cup of tea, but you still desire to be a part of the team. We absolutely need you!
